David Campbell
Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, TXU Corp.
David Campbell, 38, is executive vice president and chief financial officer of TXU Corp. He also serves as the company's chief risk officer. Campbell joined the company in 2004 and served as EVP of corporate planning, strategy and risk through March 2006, when he assumed his current duties. Campbell and his team are responsible for the company's overall financial strategy, corporate planning, enterprise risk management, treasury, tax, accounting and investor relations. Among his major accountabilities are spearheading the development of the company's five-year financial plan, overseeing the company's performance management system, and monitoring and managing the company's key risks. His team also leads the human resources function. Previously, Campbell was a principal in the Dallas office of McKinsey & Company, Inc., where he led the Texas and Southern Region hubs of McKinsey's corporate finance and strategy practice. He served clients in several industries, including energy, food products and industrial services. Campbell is a member of the board of trustees for the Dallas Theater Center and has served on the Rhodes Scholarship Committee of Selection. He is also a term member of the Council on Foreign Relations and a member of the Dallas Assembly. Campbell graduated with a bachelor's degree from Yale University and a J.D. from Harvard Law School, where he was a member of the Harvard Law Review. He also holds a master's degree from Oxford University, where he studied as a Rhodes Scholar. Campbell and his family live in Dallas.
