SAFETY: The TXU Priority

Electricity demonstrations for groups including the Boy Scouts of
America help educate TXU communities about the need for safety around
power lines.
TXU is serious about the safety of its employees,
contractors, customers and the general public. Safety has to
be paramount, and it is.
Although TXU attained top-quartile safety performance in
2004 when measured against its peers, the company is
focused on achieving an even better record in 2005 and
beyond. TXU posted a 19% improvement over 2003 in the
Lost Time Incident Rate, but DART Incident and
Preventable Vehicle Accident Incident rates remain an area
for enhancement in 2005. TXU’s aim is to reach the top
10% in safety performance.
