TXU has a long history of balancing responsibility for providing electricity with stewardship for the air, land, and water. The Texas economy, which already has the nation's largest demand for power, is projected to grow by almost 4 percent a year. The state needs clean, low-cost, coal-powered solutions, and nobody has more experience than TXU in using coal to generate electricity in an environmentally excellent way and with an exceptional track record of reducing emissions. At the same time, we are committed to energy efficiency improvements, technology development, renewable energy, and zero-emission nuclear generation that will improve the quality of the environment for our Texas and global communities.
